The base diameter is 0.80 inches, and the flame size is 1.2 inches long and 0.5 inches wide. They run on 2x AAA batteries (not included). The LED is not replaceable, but the batteries are. To turn them on, tighten the bottom cap all the way. To turn them off, lightly unscrew the bottom cap. One set of batteries can last approximately 72 hours.
